Hub & Suspension Bearing Press System

The new Hub & Suspension Bearing Press System expands the capabilities of the original acetal suspension bearing press to remove and install bearings in hubs and freehubs as well as suspension pivots.

“If you’re swapping suspension bearings, you’re doing hubs too.” - Steve

NEW INVENTION

The ALT Drift

The new ALT Drift is designed as an alternative to a punch & hammer or a blind bearing puller in a configuration where two bearings are separated by a bearing spacer (BSB). This tool removes the first bearing using the screwing motion of a bearing press in a controlled and confident manner.

Check out the PROTOTYPE instruction video for my industry testers >>>

The ALT Drift Kit is currently in beta testing and will be sold at an introductory price to get some real-world home mechanic testing.

NEW/NEW PRODUCT!

Hub & Suspension Bearing Press
HSBP-2 (Aluminum)

For those home mechanics who like the design and functionality of the acetal kit but want a more durable and extra robust tool I am making a version with aluminum PILOTS and DRIFTS.

This kit also features a drift design with two different pressing surfaces. The flat surface presses both bearing rings on installation while the recessed surface facilitates the pressing of only the outer bearing ring. Great in a situation where open bore hubs need the bearings preloaded. This recess also provides space for the installation of a bearing with an extended inner bearing ring.

Because it’s made of aluminum it’s also strong enough to be used to leverage the install of the first bearing in a hub from inside the opposite bearing bore …only if your manufacturer recommends this kind of install. An optional second set of drifts will be available for purchase.
